Honoring the Accomplishents of President Obama

As we usher in a new President-elect, and say good-bye to the media darling and our beloved 44th president. I think it’s time we look back and give credit to President Obama where credit is due. Let’s review many of the great accomplishments of the tenure of President Barack Obama.

He successfully ran a gun-running program. The Obama administration allowed guns to be sold to Mexican drug cartels in the hope the weapons would be recovered at crime scenes. Instead, US Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed by Mexican gang members. Let’s also remember that the President also drone bombed American Citizens for speech crimes without a trial. Obama ignored the Fifth Amendment and made believe it wasn’t there with the assassination of at least four American citizens, including a child.  Anwar Al-Awlaki, his 16-year-old son, Samir Khan, and Jude Mohammed, without any benefit of due process of law. Indeed, the death warrants against these individuals were effectively signed in secret, in a secret committee which is overseen directly by the president. They then drone bombed these individuals for what amounts to speech crimes.

The president illegally collected data on millions of American citizens. The NSA’s collection programs were originally intended to target foreigners, but Obama allowed for a secret rule change allowing the NSA analysts to search for Americans’ details within the databases. On June 5, 2013 the first media report based on leaked material was reported by The Guardian in a top Secret court order showing that the NSA had collected phone records from over 120 million of Verizon subscribers. As more leaks and more information came out we found out that the NSA had more information on us than our wives and probably Google and Facebook too. The major problem with that is I voluntarily gave that information to my wife and those private companies, where Obama shredded the 4th amendment and made believe it wasn’t there and had millions of warrantless searches. The president signed The NDAA OF 2012.  On December 31, 2011, Obama signed the  NDAA, which for the first time in history allowed for indefinite military detention without charge or trial into law. The NDAA’s  dangerous detention provisions would authorize the president — and all future presidents —  (including Trump) to order the military to pick up and indefinitely imprison people captured anywhere in the world, far from any battlefield. This can obviously be done without cause.

The president had such a disgu.sting mistreatment of vets and mismanagement of care at the Veterans Administration. This has been detailed by the Government Accountability Office. The VA set up a standard of a 14 day waiting period. The VA later reported to Congress that over 300,000 veterans nationwide were either forced onto waiting lists or forced to wait over six months for medical appointments. Countless service members were put on long waiting lists with no care for months or years without consequences. Dozens of veterans died on these waiting list. Another wonderful moment in Obama’s regime was his using the IRS to target political opposition. The IRS apologized for targeting groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names, confirming long-standing accusations by some conservatives that their applications for tax-exempt status were being improperly delayed and scrutinized. Lois  Lerner called the IRS official who oversees tax-exempt groups, called these actions “absolutely inappropriate” and said it was done by “front-line people. Such an attack on political opposition hasn’t been seen since President Nixon. The president has lead this country to its biggest racial divide in 50 years. If this is not true, talk to me about the major racial divides during the Bush and Clinton years, the Black Live Matters movement, the riots in Cities like Baltimore and Charlotte, you didn’t see this during the prior administrations. He accumulated more debt than every other president … combined. This is self-evident, well the clock is still -ticking on this, but Obama entered the White House with the national debt at about $10 trillion and by the time you read this we will probably be at $20 trillion, the president leads the league in National debt, he’s number one! He orchestrated a health insurance plan that neither let us keep our doctor nor our plan. Which according to his team was based on the stupidity of the American voter that has increased health insurance costs by almost 50%. The president promised the American families would save $2,500 a year in health insurance premiums. That was just a lie to get elected, he also promised we could keep our doctor and our plan, again those were just lies to get elected. Good thing we had really smart people like Obamacare architect MIT economist Jonathan Gruber who could trick us really stupid American voters into buying into Obamacare but that didn’t work either. Though making it illegal to not have health insurance and telling people who can’t afford health insurance that if they don’t buy insurance because they can’t afford it they will have to pay a fine, despite all of this only 11.7 million people signed up for Obamacare which includes the about 7 million who were dropped from their plan and there are still somewhere between 28 and 29 uninsured Americans. So making it a crime to not have insurance and forcing people to buy a product they don’t want has had almost no impact.

His extremely hawkish unconstitutional policy led us to illegally attacked Libya without Congressional approval and an increased amount of troops in the horrendous wars of George W Bush. Obama escalated deployments in the Af-Pak region to 98,000 US troops in 2009. Increasing the troops in the Af-Pak region to a  total of 222,000 US troops deployed. That is 36,000 more than Bush ever had which maxed out at a total of 186,000. Thank you for the service, Mr. President.
